Region of Lifesavers
A life-saving revolution in Germany: Region der Lebensretter
Since 2018, the German non-profit foundation Region of Lifesavers has developed a system that alerts and mobilizes first responders in case of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. In cooperation with emergency dispatch centers, it alerts community first responders (after the emergency call) and directs them to nearby sudden cardiac arrest emergencies. The system reduces response times, improves survival rates and impacts the quality of life of survivors.
“One of our main tasks is installing more publicly available AEDs. Rotaid 24/7 helps establishing this network and makes our AEDs easy to find.”
International ambitions based on German best practises and data.
One of the Region's focus points is installing more publicly accessible AEDs that are added to their database, making them instantly available for use during an emergency. Thomas Steuber, Region of Lifesavers, mentions: ‘’Our goal is to grow internationally as well. Rotaid 24/7 helps us establishing a cross-border network of AEDs. We are currently working on a further technical integration to further improve the availability and durability of our life-saving system".

The striking shape and green color make our work very tangible and our AEDs easy to spot and use.
